New! Costa Rica photos

Here are some of my most recent photos taken in Costa Rica. Locations include Hermosa, Boca Barranca, Salsa Brava, Jaco, and the rainforest. One of the most spectacular sights of the trip was a tour through the rainforest at Rainmaker. Their goal is to preserve the natural land while educating people about the rainforest. Please take a moment to visit their website: www.rainmakercostarica.org.  Another highlight was capturing a swell on the Caribbean side of the country at a surf spot called Salsa Brava.  The swell only lasted 3 days, and the first two days were mostly overcast and didn't offer much lighting for photos.  Luckily, on the last day the sun came out, and although the swell had dropped a bit in size, it was a spectacular sight.  Boca Barranca also broke beautifully.  Being the second longest left in the world, it was amazing to see just how far a wave can actually break.  At the Manuel Antonio National Park, the monkeys are aggressive and will steal your belongings if you're not careful.
